Abstract


          The objectives of this research were to study on the environmental management that promotes children’s development and to find ways to manage environment that promotes the development of children at Pre-school Child Development Center, Pathum Thani Province. The samples are 276 administrators and teachers who take care of children. Meanwhile, there are 5 participants who are school administrators who suggest guidelines for the environment management to promote the development of children at Pre-school Child Development Center. questionnaire and a structured interview script. The used statistics are frequencies, percentages, means and standard deviations. The information from the interviews and open-end questionnaire is analyzed with content analysis technique. The research findings are as follows. The level of the overall environmental management is high. Considered individually, the category of ethics management has the highest mean, and the category of method management has the lowest mean. As for the guidelines for the environment management to promote the development, it can be concluded that the administration must be directed with clearly set policies and open for all the relevant parties to participate in the planning process and the building of understanding in the environment management. The operation must be carried out within the predetermined time frame, and monitored in the systematic manner. The evaluation of the operation must be collectivist, just and fair. As for personnel, they must be assigned with jobs that fit their capabilities. The personnel must also be supported and encouraged to pursue for more knowledge through the participation in training or study visit activities. Personnel’s performances must be assessed and the improvement of their morale must be emphasized on. Concerning budget management, sufficient money must be allocated in order that the budget will be spent in the cost-effective, productive, transparent and accountable manner.
