Abstract
This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of training in public and private sector organizations in Thailand. The study employed a quantitative research approach using a survey design. The sample consisted of 310 large public and private sector organizations in Thailand, with data collected from one respondent per organization, specifically the officer responsible for human resource management. The research instrument was a five-point rating scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including the mean and standard deviation. The findings revealed that the overall effectiveness of training in public and private sector organizations in Thailand was at a high level, with a mean score of 3.98 and a standard deviation of 0.91. When each dimension was considered separately, all dimensions were also found to be at a high level. Ranked in descending order of mean scores, Efficiency recorded the highest mean (Mean = 4.17, S.D. = 0.93), followed by Productivity (Mean = 4.06, S.D. = 1.05), Job Satisfaction (Mean = 3.97, S.D. = 1.04), and Development (Mean = 3.92, S.D. = 0.62), respectively. Change had the lowest mean score (Mean = 3.76, S.D. = 0.91); however, it remained at a high level.
