Abstract

This study is qualitative research aimed at analyzing and synthesizing concepts and research related to the components of innovative leadership of school administrators in a multicultural society, and identifying the components of innovative leadership of school administrators in a multicultural society in Thailand’s three southern border provinces. Data sources consisted of 58 documents, textbooks, concepts, theories, and research studies—both domestic and international—pertaining to innovative leadership of school administrators, multicultural leadership of school administrators, and the social context of Thailand’s three southern border provinces. The research instrument was a document analysis form. Data collection followed the six-step procedure of Templier and Paré (2015), and data analysis was performed using content analysis. The findings revealed that the components of innovative leadership of school administrators in a multicultural society comprise three main components with 15 sub-components:1) Innovative Traits and Personality in a Multicultural Society (6 sub-components), 2) Knowledge and Understanding of Innovative Strategies in a Multicultural Society (4 sub-components), and 3) Innovative Skills and Capabilities in a Multicultural Society (5 sub-components).
