Abstract


          This research aimed to study and to compare the roles of school administrators in knowledge management of basic education schools in La-Un district under the Ranong primary education service area office. The sampling group consisted of 70 teachers in La-Un district under the Ranong primary education service area office using a Krejcie and Morgan table and simple random sampling. The research instrument employed for collecting data was a questionnaire. Data analysis and data processing were conducted by means of Statistical package. The Statistics used in analyzing the data were number, percentage, means, standard deviation, independent sample t-test and ANOVA analysis.

          The research findings revealed as follows : 1. The roles of school administrators in knowledge management of basic education schools, as a whole, were at a high level. When considering each aspect the found mostly in the high level; creating and pursuits was at the highest, followed by Knowledge codification and refinement and knowledge sharing. 2. The comparison of the roles of school administrators in knowledge management of basic education schools. When considering in each category of gender, age, education level and job experience, as a whole, knowledge identification, creating and pursuits, knowledge management, knowledge codification and refinement, knowledge access, knowledge sharing and studying were no difference.
