Abstract

The Book of Medicine Edition Royal King Rama V : The use of language and writing style. The research‘s purposes to study strategies to use language and writing style in the book by using descriptive analysis methodology. The population of the study are The Book of Medicine Edition Royal King Rama V in the 1st and 2nd editions includes Book Pharmacopoeia 27 editions and 3 editions of the drug formula. The research found that the firstly, there are four types of strategies used include with the compound wording, nested wording repetition wording and comparative images in color, size, disease characteristics and symptoms of the disease. The secondly, there are two types of writing style used. The prefix of drug formula include with drug name, drug produce, symptoms of the disease, drug formula, and Khmer characters. The postfix of drug formula include with valuable thing comparison, quality of result, drug name, Khmer characters and indications or drug produce.
