Abstract


The purpose of this research was to study the confirmatory factor analysis of competency information communication and technology for high school’s student in the secondary educational service area office2. A survey research was used as a research design. Data were collected by a survey from the samples of research is 434 people. The research instrument had the reliability level of 0.97. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the confirmatory factor analysis. 

The results of competency information communication and technology for high school’s student found that the communication was in high level. The model fitted to the empirical data CMIN/DF=1.63, GFI=.99, AGFI=.98, RMSEA=.04.The factor loading most was: the students can used social media for exchanging information with their classmates. The high loading with 1.02, the variances of communication at 100% (Coefficient R2= 1.00). The rest of seven factors were positive. These factors are Information Access, Information Valuation, Information and Digital Technology Application, Code of Conducts of Information, Production and Creation of Information, Management of Information and Knowledge of Information Communication and Technology respectively. Teachers can apply the results of this analysis to improve the competency Information communication and Technology of student. Furthermore, the school management team is able to set policy direction by employing the analysis results to enhance the students’ competency in this area.
