EFFECT OF LEARNING STYLES ON STUDENTS’ SELF-ESTEEM IN NETYONG HIGH SCHOOL OF BATTAMBANG, CAMBODIA

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine the level and the relationship between learning style preferences and students’ self-esteem in Netyong High School of Battambong, Cambodia. Learning style preferences were used to examine students’ learning style preferences and Student’s self-esteem was used to measure students’ self-esteem. There were
274 students completed questionnaire positively. The findings of this study showed that the level of learning style preferences were at a
moderate level while the level of students’ self-esteem was at the high level. This study revealed a significant positive relationship between learning style preferences and students’ self-esteem. The regression analysis showed learning style preferences were the predictive
factors of students’ self-esteem. From the research findings, it is recommended that the teachers and the policy maker should promote group learning style preference to increase effective learning. Including
providing teacher training to motivate individual learning students.
