Abstract

        This research objective was to study fashion drawing performance of bachelor degree students in the Department of Fashion Design and Clothing, Faculty of Home Economics and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, those already attended Fashion Drawing Technique course, divided into 2 groups of the students as A and B group, 15 of each, 30 in total. Using the CRD experimental design to study the rate of fashion drawing skills according to a basic clothing for 5 designs, which are casual wear, evening wear, sportswear and sleepwear, then to test their painting skill for 5 times of each individual type of those designs, 25 of testing materials in total. Then tested by a timer for constant speed and compare the differences of each student, compared differences between the groups with the T-test. The study using the time recording for the five designs was found that group A students was at 10.29 minutes average speed, group B was at the 8:24 minute in average. For a casual wear, group A took an average of 11.60 minutes, group B took 9.61 minutes. For an evening wear, group A took 12.80 minutes, group B was 10.77 minutes. For a sportswear, group A took 11.71 minutes, while group B was at 9:51 minutes. And for a sleepwear, group A was at 11.60 minutes, group was at 10.30 minutes. Which come to conclude that the Sportswear designs took less drawing time. The second was the casual wear designs. The evening wear designs were the most time spent in both A and B groups. It was also found that group B students in fashion design and clothing department had highest fashion drawing skills with an average speed at 8.37 minutes, group A students had an average speed at 10.29 minutes and the drawing time rate was continually increased. In addition, there was different significant level between the two groups at .05.
