Abstract

This research aims to study the effect of complex training for body and muscle strength as well as speed and agility improvement of thirty football players aged 13-15 years from AksornPrasit School. Purposive sampling was employed. Duration for the complex training program was two days per week for ten weeks.

          Research findings indicate that:

1. The average test time for 50-meter running reflects that longer training time yields greater speed for the sample athletes at a statistical significance level of .05. After the 10-week training program, samples attained better average speed than pretest and 2-week after the test at a statistical significance level of .05. Other pairs revealed no differences.

2. The average test for agility suggests that longer training time affects the agility of different samples at a statistical significance level of .05. After 6-week, 8-week, and 10-week training programs, the samples gained more agility than pretest at a statistical significance level of .05. In addition, after 6-week and 8-week training programs, they acquired more agility compared to the time of 4 weeks prior to the test at a statistical significance level of .05. Other pairs unveiled indifferences.
