Abstract


Objective of this research was to study the moderating effects of optimistic and work family conflict on the relationships between job demand and job stress. The subjects in this study consisted of 248 permanent supporting staffs in the university. Job Demand Questionnaires, Job Stress Questionnaires, Work Family Conflict Questionnaires, and Optimistic Questionnaires were used to collect the data. Data were analyzed by using Pearson product-moment correlation and Hierarchical multiple regression analysis.

The results shown that ; job demand was statistically significance correlated with job stress at .01 level (r=.334, p<.05). Optimistic was moderators on the relationship between job demand and job stress (β=-1.055, ∆R2=.203, p<.05). Work family conflict wasn’t moderators on the relationship between job demand and job stress.
