Abstract

Thailand, cannabis abuse drivers, was lower prevalence than alcoholic and amphetamine addicts, however, may ignore by police officers. Thai screening test kits for determine cannabis metabolites were most important to judged drivers. Missing of result interpretation on cannabis screening test kits may be occurred by different of immunoassay application and/or procedure. Aims of this research were to compare efficacy of test kits for 11-nor-delta-9- tetrahydrocannabinol-carboxylic acid detection in urine. All test kits were principled immunochromatography technique and three brands of test kits were included brand A , B and C. Each test kit was evaluated with 0, 10, 30, 50, 100 and 200 ng/ml of standard compound dissolved in urine, respectively (total = 30 samples for each brand). The results shown that test kits were presented sensitivity, specificity, Efficaincy, positive predictive value (PPV) and negative predictive value (NPV), which were 60, 100, 83.33, 100, and 33.3%, respectively
