Abstract


        The purposes of this study was to   (1)  Develop an Instructional Model for  Science using constructivism for Learning achievement and higher order thinking ability of  Mathayomsuksa II  Students;   (2)  Literary review of the model development and model implementation of the Instructional Model for  Science by using constructivism for Learning achievement and higher order thinking ability of students at lower secondary level.  by applying research anddevelopment.  The research segment consisted of  three distinct  stages as follow :  Stage 1 ;  A literally review of current basic data,  ideas, and theories from current published literature in order to fully develop the instructional model for science.  Stage 2 : developing the instructional model for science which check the suitabilityby expertsand proved by trying out.  Stage 3 : Implementing the instructional model for science employing an experimental design: the pre-test and post- test, control group design. 

        The student samples were taken from two classes of  Mathayomsuksa II,   students from Bannasanscool,  SuratThanee province; during the second semester, of the 2015  academic year.  (1) : this was a class of 37 student was  selected to be the experimental group;  the Second class, group (2) : was a class of 40  student and was nominated the  control groups.We selected two research instruments for evaluating the effectiveness of the instructional model for science: 1)  The achievement test, and 2) The order thinking ability test. In order to review and analysis our finding, data review and analysis was done by: percentage statistics, arithmetic mean, standard deviation  and  finally The t- test.

          The research findings can be summarized as follows: 1)The final instructional model that we developed consisted of : principles,  objectives, instruction steps, and results. 2)The evaluation of the effectiveness of the developed instructional model for science was obtained by reviewing the results of the implementation of the instructional model  asfollows ; (1) The final post- test  scoreson achievement and higher order thinking ability of  the experimental group were significantly higher than the control group at the .01 level.(2)  The posttest  scoreson achievement and higher order thinking ability  of  the experimental group were significantly higher than the pretest scores at the .01 level.
